  OnePlus 6T has Google Lens integrated with camera; here's what you can do with the feature

Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus launched its latest flagship smartphone 6T a few weeks ago, and tech pundits fell that amidst all the exciting hardware specs the phone packs, one feature has not been given due credit.

What is Google Lens?

Unveiled by Google last year, Google Lens is an application that allows smartphone cameras to not just click a picture but to also scan and analyse its contents.
Google Lens can scan a picture and identify products, animals, and environment. It can provide you with information such what is the cost of the scanned product, where it can be purchased, and similar products available in the market.

The app can perform tasks such as capturing a phone number or an address and giving you an option to either look it up on the internet or save it to your contacts.
Google Lens can also do things like opening a URL in an image, providing details of brands, finding books on the internet, and scanning QR codes, among others. It can also copy text directly from an image.

How to use Google Lens on OnePlus 6T?

Finding Google Lens on the OnePlus 6T is quite easy, thanks to its integration with the device's camera. Once the camera app is open, all you need to do is look for the Google Lens icon on the extreme left in the shooting modes menu.
Once you tap the icon, Lens mode will be activated. Although it wouldn't look different in the beginning, you will soon notice circles and dots appearing at random points on the screen.
This occurs when the app is scanning the image for products, surroundings, texts and objects. As soon as it finishes scanning, the app will show a coloured dot on the screen.
If you tap the dot, the app will pull up information about the objects it detected in the image. Users can choose between options such as looking up for information on an object, looking for products on e-commerce portals, and copy text, among others.
